Tony Thrift - Director/General Manager Underwriting
Tony is a Director/General Manager (Underwriting). Tony is also the Property Underwriting Principal of Australis GROUP UNDERWRITING.
Tony has more than 40 years experience in the Insurance Industry. He commenced working in London as a Brokerinitially in "Contract Works Risks" and subsequently in Property and Liability. In 1991 Tony emigrated to Australia where he was a Director of a Lloyd's firm of Brokers.
Since arriving in Australia he has worked in the area of Underwriting Agencies and in 1995 was instrumental in the formation of Global Underwriting where he was the C.E.O. until he took early retirement in 2003.
He is well known in the London and Australian market as being a person who is always willing to assist with the placement of business and with his background understands the problem that Brokers encounter not only with Clients but also with Underwriters.
Tony was a Director of the Underwriting Agencies Council untill 2003.

Mark Di Fiore - Underwriting Principal Property
Markis Underwriting Principal of Australis GROUP UNDERWRITING and is primarily responsiblefor strategic direction, case underwriting and portfolio management of our Property Portfolio.
Mark is an industry professional with over 8 years experience in the insurance industry specialising in Property. He has held senior underwriting and management positions with both Australian and International Insurers.

Kathy Corral - Senior Underwriting Associate
Kathy is a Senior Underwriting Associate of Australis GROUP UNDERWRITING and her primary responsibilities are new business and renewal underwriting of our ISR and Property Portfolios in the area of Hard to Place risks, however she will also handle the less hazardous occupations with full Underwriting authority from our Security. Kathy has 15 years experience in the Insurance Industry predominantly with Underwriting Agencies and has worked for a direct insurer which has given her a sound knowledge of Underwriting Property Risks on an ISR and Business Pack basis.

Michael Andrews - Underwriting Associate
Michael is an Underwriting Associate of Australis GROUP UNDERWRITING and his primary responsabilities are new business, renewal and endorsement underwriting of Commercial Package portfolios. Michael has 35 years experience in the Insurance Industry and has been a Commercial Underwriter for virtually all of his career. During this period, he has been employed by several major insurers.

Danny Pereira - Underwriting/Administration Associate
Danny is a Underwriting/Administration Associate of Australis GROUP UNDERWRITING and his prime responsibilities are for the issuance of endorsements for the whole of the Property portfolio. Danny gives full support to the Property Underwriters in the preparation of Renewal information and papers plus the organization of Surveys as required.Danny has 9 years working experience in Insurance of which the majority has been in the Professional Indemnity division of Australis Group Underwriting.
